Craving culture, color, and high-energy vibes? The West Indian Independence Celebrations, one of the City of Hartford's premiere summer events, is a must-do summer experience! This electrifying event features a street parade filled with vibrant and colorful costumes, drill teams and traditional Caribbean costume bands. The concert, held in Bushnell Park features live performances by local and international entertainers, delicious food and arts and craft vendors can also be found on Trinity Street near the soldiers and sailors memorial arch in Bushnell Park. .

It’s more than just a party—it’s a powerful celebration of cultural pride, unity, and heritage. The event brings together people from across the Caribbean diaspora as well as others who love Caribbean culture.
